Good food - kale salad, burger, fries, short ribs, flan. All excellent. Really genuine and lovely waitperson. Good vibes all around.

Love this place! My literal all time favorite salad from anywhere is the quinoa kale salad at Brezo. The combination of flavors is on point and if you get a large it is easily two meals. Also in love with the flan! The menu changes seasonally, so it's fun to keep trying new things. Never disappoints.

Cheerful, friendly, family-friendly neighborhood eatery, recently moved from Richmond's Craneway Pavilion. Serves Brunch weekends. Full lunch menu of salads/sammies till 2:30p, with short afternoon break, then dinner till 8:30p. Note weekday lunch menu has some limited breakfast options, as well. Parking moderately difficult; easier on side streets. Service is good. Food is good, with more protein-heavy emphasis (i.e., American style) than Lulu's across the street. Salads are large so shareable if desired. Spouse gives tri-tip sandwich 4.5 stars, saying it's one of the best versions he's gotten from any restaurant in years.

Went to Sunday brunch with 5 ladies and we had a lovely time. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The restaurant was buzzing and it was fun! I could eat their creamy polenta for breakfast every day! Can't wait to try the lunch menu.

Amazing food, great service! This place has become my husband and I new favorite restaurant. The desserts are delicious and visually stunning, definitely don't skip.

Very happy to have this restaurant in our neighborhood! We probably go there about once a week. They have a nice kid-menu so it's great for families. My go to is the nicoise salad, which they started offering this summer. I really hope they keep it on the menu for good. Their fries are also really crispy and delicious. Service is friendly and fast. Welcome to the hood!

I originally discovered Brezo in Point Richmond when I opened my practice in 2018. I followed them to the Craneway and when they left, I thought I'd never get to enjoy my favorite salad (kale and quinoa) again. But lo and behold, I was driving down Solano Avenue and caught a glimpse of their name in the same font as in Point Richmond. I met friends for brunch and we shared the kale and quinoa salad, the blueberry pancakes, and the chilaquiles. All three were delicious. We sat outside on the picnic tables and we were not forgotten by the staff (which happens in the post-COVID era). Service was friendly and timely. I went for dinner another evening and enjoyed the mahi mahi. A little too much cilantro for me in the salsa topping, but refreshing and light even with the tasty mashed potatoes. I subtracted one star because it can get pretty loud inside. Otherwise, I'm all in for the food and service.

I had quite happily tried the original location in Port Richmond and was saddened when it closed. My spirits were buoyed when I saw Brezo reopen in the former Rendez-vous Cafe which itself also sadly closed. Man, It's hard to keep track of the changing food scene around these parts, but I reassured Jamie W. that Brezo made solid New American fare, and I was right. We decided to split three items that tickled our palates. First up was the $18 Brezo Burger, a juicy, medium rare Niman Ranch patty on a soft challah bun and topped with cheddar, grilled red onions, bacon, pickled jalapeños, tomato, lettuce, and chipotle aioli. It came with an $8 side of crispy Truffle Fries nicely seasoned with truffle oil and Parmesan cheese (photo: https://yelp.to/X3Puk7VxTR). Quite satisfying but wait, there was our third dish, the $15 Calico Salad, a full platter of romaine, jack, tomato, red onion, avocado, tortilla strips, and black beans drizzled with chile-lime dressing (photo: https://yelp.to/Mmm7Btvspz). It was a refreshing contrast with the burger and went particularly well with the complimentary grilled baguette slices with butter (photo: https://yelp.to/qaXq2qYKoY). Brezo is back! FOOD - 4 stars...the burger, fries, and salad combo worked just fine here AMBIANCE - 4 stars...still looks like Rendez-vous but it works SERVICE - 3.5 stars...efficient TOTAL - 4 stars...Brezo made the move from Port Richmond to Albany just fine RELATED - Exploring Albany? Moved.... Kicked out?? from Assemble in pt Richmond a while ago. Heather and Hector revive the ol favs in this prime spot on Solano Ave, in Albany. While we gain a Pickelball club at Assemble, we are also able to continue to enjoy the great menu, not too far from the cribbage! Apparently Heather earned her chops here when it was Rendezvous Cafe, a a long standing iconic location. Well if you loved em when downtown Point Richmond... then post Covid moved into Assemble, on the water front steps from the Bay Ferry terminal and next to Rosie The Riveter National museum, then you will love this location as they have brought back the classsics for lunch and dinner. The only place I will forgo the diet as their blue berry pancakes are to DIE for, we had to drop in and support our local peeps in the new digs. I've never been here before so not sure what's different but who cares as long as the food is as we remember. And yes sir it is! Some staff also from the other local are in da house as well. Totally warm and intimate inside and a few tables outside on iconic Solano ave! Friendly for couples, families alike! Warm convivial and absolutely packed on an overcast Saturday late morning- early afternoon between atmospheric rivers! It's a bummer cause I will have to ride my bike a bit further to imbibe, which probably is a good thing for my waistline: used to be able to get there in 2 minutes now more like 15 but either way, they provide an excellent breakfast and dinner menu. I don't think they needed to even invest in menus and of course we know it by heart. These two know how to throw down in the cozinha! Such an iconic selection with massive portions! Hopefully now more folks who don't venture to the Point will soon learn this IS the spot to chill and chow down. Based on how packed it was... the words out! Congratulations guys! We appreciate your dedication to the diners who love you and are happy to continue to enjoy and delight in the Marina bay Albany area! I'll be back for my Brezo Tee which I plan to proudly wear claiming we knew y'all "from back in the day!" Let me know Heather when I can pick it up! May have to also get those Chiliques for the trouble!
